Eight-Spool Representative Colour Testing – Digital Download

This EN71-3 certificate documents chemical safety testing of Tinmorry PLA and Tinmorry Rapid PLA filament as complete material formulations, including the base polymer, pigments, and standard additives.

A total of eight filament spools were submitted for testing across the two product label versions:

  • Tinmorry PLA: Royal Blue, Pink, Yellow, and Black
  • Tinmorry Rapid PLA: Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black

These colours provide representative coverage across the Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black pigment positions commonly used in CMYK due-diligence testing.

EN71-3 testing assesses the migration of regulated elements from the finished filament material under simulated conditions. The results therefore reflect the behaviour of the complete filament formulation, rather than the base polymer or individual pigments in isolation.

Testing across both the PLA-labelled and Rapid PLA-labelled versions provides direct test evidence for each presentation of the product, while also providing broad representative coverage of the principal pigment families used across the range, where no additional pigments, fillers, or chemical modifiers are introduced.

Which Tinmorry filament does this certificate cover?

Tinmorry has confirmed that the products supplied under the names PLA and Rapid PLA both belong to its Rapid PLA series.

Tinmorry explained that differences in the spool wording relate to different versions of the product labelling and presentation. Some spools may be labelled PLA, while others carry the Rapid PLA name or logo.

This certificate therefore covers qualifying Tinmorry filament from this tested range where the spool or product listing identifies it as:

  • Tinmorry PLA
  • Tinmorry Rapid PLA
  • Tinmorry PLA Rapid

Customers should retain evidence identifying the filament used, including the spool label, packaging, order confirmation, product listing, batch or lot details, and purchase date.
