What this certificate covers

This EN71-3 certificate documents chemical safety testing of Bambu Lab PLA Silk filament as a complete material formulation, including the base polymer, pigments, and standard additives, using representative CMYK colour variants (Blue Hawaii, Neon City, Dawn Radiance (gold section), Velvet Eclipse).

EN71-3 testing assesses the migration of regulated elements from the finished filament material under simulated conditions of mouthing, swallowing, and skin contact. The results therefore reflect the behaviour of the entire filament formulation, not the base polymer or pigments in isolation.

Representative colour variants were selected to map to the Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black pigment positions used in CMYK due-diligence testing. This approach provides broad coverage of the primary pigment families commonly used across coloured PLA filaments, supporting proportionate chemical safety due diligence where no additional pigments, fillers, or chemical modifiers are introduced.
